Setting Up Accommodations When Using Proctor U

What is Proctor U?:

How to Set Up Accommodations for Exams and Quizzes Using Proctor U:

Q:  What does a professor need to do to set up accommodations for a student at Rutgers?

A:  To receive exam accommodations for a proctored exam that is using Proctor U, the instructor needs to email prior to your scheduled exam(s) with the accommodations needed.

The instructor needs to send the following information about the student:

  • First and last name
  • ProctorU email address
  • Accommodation information (ie: extra time, bathroom breaks, permitted use of a screen reader, a person in the room for extra assistance, etc.)
  • The name of the exam(s) that the accommodations will cover.
  • If accommodations apply to multiple exams from the same instructor, only one email will be needed stating that the accommodations will cover all of your exams for that particular class.

ProctorU does not need any information about the student’s disability.
