Getting started with Alternate Format Text and/or Assistive Technology
Tag: Alternate Format Text
After being approved for Alternate Format Textbooks (AFT) or Assistive Technology (AT) as an accommodation, there are several steps you will need to complete. Below, outlines the information you need to know how to set you up your AFT for success.
Arranging your AFT and/or AT intake meeting
Within a few days of your approval by ODS, you should receive an email allowing you to set up an appointment with our staff. Our office utilizes a free online scheduling service. In order to schedule your initial appointment, please follow our schedule your intake link, which will guide you step by step through the process. We ask that you review the initial video, answer several survey questions, review our AFT agreement form and then schedule your date and time for the initial meeting.
