Genio
Glean, the note-taking tool previously available to students registered with ODS, has been rebranded as Genio. Students who were using Glean do not need to create a new account—existing accounts, notes, and recordings will remain available in Genio.
However, the first time students log in after the rebrand, they may need to take a few additional steps to access their account.
- What to expect during the first login: Students may be prompted to confirm their Rutgers credentials or verify access permissions.
- Student instructions: A brief video walkthrough of the updated login process is available.
- Communication: All registered students should have received an email announcing the change. If not, please refer this page.
If you have any questions or experience issues accessing your Genio account, please contact Rutgers Access and Disability Resources Office.
What is Genio?
Genio (previously Glean) is an application that can be used from a computer or mobile device for recording lectures. Users can embed PDFs to accompany the audio recording. Students can add their own text notes alongside the recording and can highlight sections of the audio for future reference.
